Ashby Camera Club is a long established camera club with around 30 members.
We are beginners, experienced amateurs and professionals and we aim to produce good photographs in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
We meet regularly throughout the year. Our Winter programme usually starts early September through to the following May and is a mix of visiting lecturers, practical evenings, talks, competitions and social events.
The lectures and talks range widely over the majority of photographic subjects including, from time to time, photographic impressions of other countries and lifestyles.
In the summer months we have a series of informal evenings when members and friends meet at local photogenic venues to take photographs and perhaps have a beer later in a local pub.
We especially welcome new members and in particular, with the surge of interest in digital cameras we are keen to help new digital camera users. Our members have a wide knowledge both of digital cameras and digital manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop.
If you wish to find out more contact the Secretary or alternatively come along to Smisby Village Hall on Wednesday evening (7:15pm for 7:30pm start).
